The available BLIS with cross-traffic alert helps make driving more convenient. It uses radar to detect a vehicle in your blind spot and can alert you with an indicator light in the appropriate exterior mirror. Cross-traffic alert helps detect traffic approaching from the sides when backing out of parking spots. Included in the available Technology Package.

Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance from other vehicles, and once an appropriate spot is identified, you're signaled to stop and accept the system's assistance. While driving slowly near parking spots, activate this feature and Edge will scan for available ones. With a few actions on your part – shifting, accelerating and braking – the vehicle can smoothly parallel park or back into a perpendicular parking space.

Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) automatically adjusts to deliver the precise feel and control you need at higher speeds, as well as the assistance slower speeds require. EPAS features drift control and active nibble control. Drift control technology detects road conditions – such as a crowned road surface or crosswinds – and adjusts the EPAS to compensate. The active nibble control feature uses the EPAS motor to reduce unwanted vibrations in the steering wheel. The result – a comfortable driving experience and responsive steering.

Drive with confidence. Intelligent AWD uses sensors to constantly monitor traction and balance torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction. Standard on Edge Sport and available on all other models.

The available Lane-Keeping System includes both the lane-keeping alert and the lane-keeping aid. The system can operate during the day or night. Lane-keeping alert warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic driving over a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure. Lane-keeping aid actively applies steering torque, which alerts you to direct your vehicle back into the target lane should the system detect an unintended lane departure.

If the system's sensors detect a potential collision with a car or pedestrian in front of you, a warning flashes on the windshield and an audible alert sounds. Also, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake. If the driver does not take corrective action and collision is imminent, brakes can automatically apply. Available on SE, Titanium and Sport and standard on Platinum.
