Shorter Customer Waits As F-150 Lightning XLT Production Increases

To better serve its customers and address high demand, Ford is ramping up production of the F-150 Lightning at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center. This production increase will help reduce customer wait times and ensure a smoother buying experience.

“Customer interest for the XLT has considerably outstripped supply since the F-150 Lightning launch and we’ve worked with our suppliers to help address that,” said Marin Gjaja, chief customer officer. “We heard loud and clear from our customers that they want their truck deliveries as close as possible to their orders. As we scale production, we are making this possible.”

Ford will also continue to accept orders for the Lariat and Platinum model, but the F-150 Lightning XLT model will receive the largest boost in initial production, allowing new retail orders placed today to be estimated for delivery as early as September.
